Vision and Values

Our vision is to enhance the wellbeing of people and the environment.

People and the environment are inextricably linked and the wellbeing of people depends on the wellbeing of the environment.

In the words of the Māori (the indigenous people of New Zealand) proverb:

Ko ahau te taiao, ko te taiao ko ahau

The environment defines my quality of life

If we enhance the wellbeing of the environment, it will produce healthier cattle, which in turn will produce safer bovine raw material for medical and pharmaceutical applications, which in turn will enhance the wellbeing of people.

Our supplying farms and harvesting and processing facility adhere to high standards of environmental and animal welfare. Our farms are extensive farming operations with low stocking rates, low synthetic inputs and low environmental footprints. Cattle are grass-fed and free of hormonal growth promotants and genetically modified organisms.

Our facility is a low throughput operation, with low synthetic inputs and a low environmental footprint. Cattle are settled on grassland at our facility for a period of at least one week, before they are harvested and processed. This minimises stress caused to the cattle.
